Divided by a Dam

Balu, a Tamilian from Vallakadavu, Kerala express his worries regarding the routes of the oncoming water if something unfortunate happens.



One of the many worried families in Vallakadavu Village, whose members are staying close to each other these days.

" Our lives and cultivation are completely linked to the water from Mullaperiyar. If the water level is reduced our supply will be affected " says Sreedharan a paddy farmer from Cumbum, Tamil Nadu.

Revisiting Valiyangadi





One God...Different beliefs..

The historical temple mosque of Valiyangadi in Malappuram district, Kerala. The temple was converted into mosque and the different stories behind this follows....

My first visit was in 2009. And within 2 years time when i made my second visit, I find things are changing dramatically. Unhappy to see the old structures getting renovated in new styles.
